2008 NHC -Well, this was my first NHC, wow! What a time we had, here are some pictures I took, enjoy.

The BBG Hops Project 2008 -A pictorial record of the BBG Hops experiment. From an open field to harvested hops cones off bines we plant and cultivate.

2008 Shamrock Open -The BBG sent a great group of Judges, stewards and helpers to this years Shamrock Open in Raleigh.

2007 Summertime Brews Festival -The Battleground Brewers Guild had a chance to show off our brewing prowess as well as our pouring finesse while helping serve the masses at the 2007 Summertime Brews Festival.

2007 National Homebrewers Conference -The 2007 National Homebrewers Conference was held in Denver and Mike and Tim were there.

2007 Battleground Brewers Skirmish In The Triad -The first annual BBG Skirmish was held on June 16, 2007. We had exactly 90 entries to judge and they were all categorized into 11 flights. These are some of the memories of the biggest BBG accomplishment to date.

April 2007 Meeting -These are pictures from our April meeting, which was held at Dave’s beautiful home, ok, workshop. I believe everyone had a great time, and accomplished their task.

November 2006 Meeting at Laddies and Dukes -The theme of this months meeting was Lagers. Don gave a great presentation. Here are some pictures.

October 2006 Meeting at Laddies and Dukes -The theme of the October meeting was Holiday Beers. We had a great turn out and will be going back in November. Here are some late pictures of the meeting.

2006 BBG Vanilla Porter -Well, our latest big brew has ended. The weather was great and it sounds like everyone had a great time. Here are some pictures from Don's crew.

2006 Charlotte Oktoberfest -THe 2006 Oktoberfest in Charlotte, sponsored by the Carolina Brewmasters, was a hands down success. Battleground Brewers were fortunate enough to have received an invitation to show our stuff off...and show it off we did!!

September 2006 Meeting at Foothills -Jamie Bartholomaus was a very gracious host to the Battleground Brewers Guild for our September meeting. He spoke to us and answered questions for 30+ minutes and gave a very thorough tour through his 15bbl brewery.

Great Open Brew Session -Rick Cockcroft and Craig Argo spearheaded an Open Brew session at Rick's home. Rick and Craig each brewed a batch and Mark Tumblin joined them and brought his system to brew the 3rd batch. Three brews and 12 attendees = Great Time. Others assisted and brought beer to share. 2006 BBG Bourbon Barrel Stout -6 brew locations = 60 gallons. 60 gallons going into a used bourbon barrel for several months of aging. Here's some pictures of the whole process.

High Gravity Brew 2005 -Member Shareholders gathered at Jeff & Frankie Ziemba's home to brew 20 gallons of SkullSplitter a 10% Strong Scotch Ale. Thanks to Jeff & Frankie for their super hospitality. Thorfinn (Thor) Hausakluif, 7th Viking Earl of Orkney, know as SkullSplitter to friend & foe, arrived to give his blessing. Brewers gathered and some tried to dethrone Thor without success.

Octoberfest 2005 -Everyone had a terrific time at Octoberfest, held this year at Dave and Trudy Whitacre's and co-hosted by Bob and Marcia Meisinger. Hay rides, donkey rides, horse rides, tractors, great beer and great food. Thanks to the hosts and all who contributed.

National Homebrew Conference Baltimore 2005 -If you have never attended a National Homebrew Conference please do. It is one of the best homebrewers events. My wife who does not drink a lot of beer had a great time meeting some of the friendliest people from every state in the USA. The NHC is a great time.

Summertime Brews Festival -First beer festival held at the New Horizon Ballpark was a resonding success. About 2000 beer lovers attended the 4-8 PM event. Here are some pictures of the Battleground Brewers Guild booth. We had 5 kegs of homebrew and ran out by 6 PM.

Big Brew 2001 -We brewed at Rooster's off Lawndale in heavy, intermittent, rain. Seven out of ten members turned out to help brew and explain the brewing process to curious shoppers. Pictured with Jeff's Trojan Horse brewing system.

High Gravity Brew 2003 -Every December interested members gather to make a High Gravity Brew (HGB>9%ABV). In 2003 it was Imperial Stouts. A 10 gallon batch of Black Chocolate Stout and 10 gallons of a Strand Imperial Stout.

4th of July Party 2005 -We had a great time, great food, great beer and great hospitality at the Craft's new home. Thanks David and Janet!

Big Brew 2005 -The Big brew for 2005 was held at Jeff Ziemba's house. Many members were present as well as an incredible selection of great beers.

Big Brew 2004 -Our Big Brew was held in the parking lot of Tobacco USA. Lots of great beer and superb food was shared by all.
