The BBG will showcase our Homebrews at the SBF this year.
Anyone who wants to brew a batch of beer for the
2008 Summertime Brews Festival (23rd August 2008) http://www.summertimebrews.com/ is invited to do so this year, we will not limit any beers , as long as they meet quality control in a blind tasting the week before the Festival. Each BBG member will be allowed to submit beers, 5 or 10 gallons are OK
..... kegging is the way we serve, but if any of you want to brew and are still on bottles only, I will keg the beer for you (first few to call get it)
Confirmation that a brew is indeed ready (or in fermenter) is needed 100% by July 15th, and tasting will take place the week before the festival by a blind tasting panel. All they will look for is obvious flaws that detract from the beer, styles are NOT an issue at all.
This is a perfect opportunity to showcase our Hobby.
What beers ??
Anything goes, we have had Coffee Toffee Stout, Jalapeno Ale, and many others.

| Boy oh boy..... what a terrible time last month.
We can only apologize for the down time we have had, many of you have missed your daily fix of the BBG site, as have I.
We were hit by a hacker who inserted SQL code into the registration forms, this scrambled our database and our forums , and he also had malicious code to redirect to his porn sites. That part did NOT work because of security that we already had in place.
What we have done: (we being Steven Lanz and Mike Marble)
Restored the site back to last know good point
Upgraded the Forum software
Upgraded Security on forums
Added code to protect forms
What we lost temporarily ,
verification of new members to prevent the bots doing auto registrations
Many small admin tasks that were coded into our forums - like adding the BBG logo
What we will do in future.
