As noted in the April newsletter, we are back at Wise Man for the AHA’s National Big Brew Day to support homebrewing on May 5.

You’ll bring your brew setup out to Wise Man at 8am, and brew up a batch of your choice – preferably one of the official recipes provided by the AHA. Wise Man will provide the water and you provide the equipment and ingredients. Make sure to bring everything you need to brew – your recipe, ingredients, vessels, pumps, siphons, sanitizer, tables, chairs, hoses, and anything else you can think of besides water. If somebody can bring a canopy tent, that would be great too!

Due to space constraints, ONLY 3 BREW SETUPS will be allowed per club. Spots will be awarded on a “who posts first” basis, so post here if you would like to be one of BBG’s brewers!

Extract and all-grain setups will be welcome. If you are brewing all grain, please make sure your malt is pre-milled.

If you are not interested in brewing at this event, you are still welcome to come hang out in support of your fellow club members. This was a really fun event last and expect the same this year. It is a great way to see a wide variety of brew setups and techniques, so everybody will be able to learn something!

There are a few rules we’ll have to follow:
    1. No homebrew can be on premises at Wise Man because it is produced without an ABC license.
    2. Please do not pitch your yeast while at Wise Man as this would turn your wort into unlicensed beer.

I’m in! Don and I are planning to split a 10-gallon batch.

There is an all grain and an extract version. This is not a requirement, just their suggestion.
